But yes..im aware of the map packs and will be pulling the (best of )out of em so that people dont have to download them all.

theres a new map pack out 900 odd megs, but well worth it, superb maps coral sea, phillipaenes aberdeen,etc loads new ones

Old topic, but new question:

Which maps / mappacks for AIX2 do I need to play with you and so it works correctly? I'm just downloading

1. AIX2 TNG
2. ITHH AIX2 Mappack #1

Something else? When I'm done with downloading this, I downloaded a total of 6.64 Gigabytes of patch and mod files. Hope that's worth it ^^

there are 3 map packs on the main site but only the aix2 map packs are needed then all the tng map packs, make sure you update bf2 to 1.41 then instll update 1.5 you must install aix2 AFTER you run update 1.41 then run the 1.5 thats what i did, if done right when loading aix 2 and looking for servers about 90% should be in white red ones means you not got the map, some are custom to the server

i know youll love it, wish others would play it, bf2 needs a decent system to play but with aix dunno what they done but its alot smoother and faster than bf2 so people with comps not that fast should be able to run it

heres my specs

amd athlon duo core 4000
2 gig ddr 400 ocz ram
x1950 pro 512 mb agp

if your is same or better then you should easily run it

i got

e6300 core2duo 1,8 GHz
4 GB (3,3 in 32Bit XP) RAM 800 MHz
x1950Pro Extreme 512MB PCIe 16x

I tested in singleplayer only and got around 20 to 30 FPS with alll graphics settings set to "medium". Isn't as much as in BF42 (100 FPS with "high"), but it's doable. Still gotta adjust some settings (controls and graphics) to optimize it. Then it'll run.
