You think you are some kind of pro...? Telling others how to play this game? GTFO.

After reading your complete chat log I see no reason for removing the mute.
I doubt you will ever change your behaviour, since I asked plenty times to behave before putting the mute in place.

With all due respect, have you considered banning the things that make people upset? Or even limiting them? I read through a lot of the other ban requests and not a few of them feature raging in the chat due to shotgun spam. Have you considered limiting them to 2 or so per team? I'm sure you can appreciate that in a close quarters game mode like Chain Link, when 1/3 of the enemy team is running with shotgun it can get incredibly frustrating dying over and over to someone sat in a corner with a noob cannon. Regarding RPG, I think it goes without saying that in an Infantry only mode, there's literally no need to allow them right? Now before you disregard this, I can inform you that I am currently server admin on another server in BF4 that totally bans shotguns and RPGs and we haven't had a problem with this so far.

If you check the server logs again you'll see that whenever I play in this server, I'm usually in the top 3 players, consistently - enough to make me "pro" in your eyes? I think that makes me good enough to offer my opinions and for them to hold a little weight. The only reason I feel the need to rage in chat (which I know is bad) is because of the shotgun abuse, and the team not pulling it's weight, which as I've said is frustrating when I regularly score MVP in the game. If you would consider looking at limiting the shotgun use, and removing my mute so I can actually communicate with my squad, I can tell you that I won't rage in the chat again. I've been active for the past few days without being able to talk, so it is possible for me to do this - obviously I like your server which is why I play here often and I would like to continue.

No, we have not considered that (I explain why further down). We run Chain Link since the game mode was released in 2014 and have never felt the need to change anything except the UCAV limit (since you cannot counter that at all and players tend to camp while spamming the UCAV causing a valuable player to not PTFO). We run our Battlefield servers as vanilla as possible and that's why our servers are still so damn popular.

It's not about your score, it's about your behaviour. You telling players how to play this game, what weapons are for noobs and so on. And now telling us how to run OUR server. I don't care you think your skill puts any weight on your opinion. It's the way you vent your opinion. I've had my finger on the ban button plenty of times for you, but thought a mute would teach you a better lesson.

But maybe public servers are not for you, since you don't like your team 90% of the time.
Maybe you should start your own Chain Link server and run it the way YOU want it.

Not going to happen. We don't limit weapons, since it's unfair some players can use the weapon and others cannot.
This will result in even more complaining. I've seen this happen in all the years I've been running Battlefield gameservers. Just deal with it! And if you don't like it... don't join our server. Or even better, start your own Chain Link server.

But unfortunately there are not many Chain Link servers out there. So it's this.... or play elsewhere.

I do not see the need to discuss. Our first rule is "play with respect" and your "all time raging" did not respect this rule, the consequence is that we muted you. The other option is a ban, it's your choice!

My opinion is that the mute should stay for some time until the admins decide to lift it. In my eyes you've more than deserved that. You're contributions to the chat aren't worth being read. They are mostly disrespectful and not within our rules. Therefore there's no need for you to use the chat from my point of view.

Okay thanks for your opinion, and that's why I've asked the admin to confirm when he will lift this. As I've already mentioned, being muted doesn't even allow me to communicate with my squad and I don't like being kicked every day trying to figure out if I can give orders yet.
