dkong - 19:59 (12-02-2012) So, what's the problem? If it can be used for cheating just ban it, there are enough annoying motherfuckers as it is. It's like installing a wallhack but saying you are not using it, you only have it installed.
EBassie - 19:47 (12-02-2012) @Nod: The tool itself is harmless. But it can be used for bad things. (Rapidfire & No recoil). That's why it always have been a bannable offence. But PB did not ban for it, until now.... ;)
Nodbrother - 19:39 (12-02-2012) AHK is AutoHotKey, right? a simple tool to make keystroke combinations, completely harmless. I used it before and got accused of cheating also, just because of the name of the tool.
EBassie - 19:26 (12-02-2012) @dkong: Yes in that way it is. But many players use AHK just to rebind keys that DICE has locked from binding. Like the "Q" button. Also this tool is used by many programmers to automate tasks. I've had been using it in the past, but stopped using it when I started playing BC2.
dkong - 19:01 (12-02-2012) Well it is cheating by definition in that way, isn't it?
EBassie - 16:20 (12-02-2012) No RbBetter: AHK is the name of a certain tool. This tool can be used for good OR evil. Lately there surfaced some scripts (macro) to remove recoil or make a rapidfire macro. SO PB decided to make the detection a bannable offence.
RbBetter - 15:37 (12-02-2012) SO, when i have designated the mellee attack to a mouse button through the mouse driver, i am also using AHK, and get kicked until eternity as a rebelious cheater??????
