I was wondering, if i change my nickname in battlefield 4 will i stay on the leaderboard with my new nickname?

Yes

Stats are collected based on your EA_GUID, so when changing your playername your record in the database will be updated with the new name.

Your VIP Slot, however, is based on playername.
So when you change it, make sure you give us your new name so we can update your VIP slot.
