My PC upgrade

Postby foxterrier » Tue 13 Apr, 2010 8:05 pm

Today I changed my Gaming Pc prosessor from Dual E8500 (3.15 GHz),to Quad Q9650 (3 GHz).
It was worth the effort award,,,, 3DMark06 test score increased from 15612 to 16748 !!!!
BFBC2 fps (all settings High and 1920 x 1200 resolution)
E8500 dual (fps 50-75)
Q9650 quad (fps 70-125)
That was a great boost! Next, I'm going to change my 32bit XP to 64 bit Win7.
,,,I hope all is going well,I'm gonna try to put 2
Western Digital 750GB, RAID Edition 3, 3.5", SATA II, 7200RPM, 32MB
To Raid,,, 0 or 1 and I'm bit scared for that.(This will happen within a few days,as long as I have time to do it).

   if I do not seen for a few days,so something was going wrong

That fix is for 5000 series so called "map load boost".
Anyway all 4 GPUs are running now, unlike before
3Dmark06 points are now 17463 and BFBC2 fps 75-160 :o
