VIP slots for BF3 is getting closer:
Join Queue will be activated when servers are rebooted (but they are full now)....

Our servers just got an update to R7:

  • Fix for rubber banding
  • TDM/SQDM spawn point fix
  • 2 crash fixes in end of round
  • Fix for connection problem when joining password protected servers
  • Removed 'vars.allUnlocksUnlocked'. Once ranked server settings are enforced, this may come back in some form.

R7 servers have new problems (ofcourse):
  • Bans not working (throws back InvalidBanCategory)
  • The server queuing addon has been disabled due to instability. Any servers with this enabled may not be accessible until they are restarted.

R8 will come soon...

DICE have released Server Update R8 with the following changes:

  • Crashfixes.
  • RCON bugfixes; banList.add can now ban on player name.
  • Fixes for team & squad handling, both during and between rounds.

We have to wait on Multiplay to give us the update

If all is correct, server queue is back.
So when server is full, you can join the queue without getting a message that the server is full.

Server queue is still not active.

I finally got a reply back from Mikael Kalms on Twitter (@Kalmalyzer) on the rumours reserved slot were cancelled:

Was working on a procon plugin for adaptive server size based on how many players joined.
But, thankfully, someone beat me to it :)

When server is empty it shows all available slots (32 or 64).
But when the first player joins, the slots are lowered to 4.
When this happens we should get more quickmatch joiners.

When the amount of players reach 3, the slots are upgraded to 8.
When the amount of players reach 6, the slots are upgraded to 16.
When the amount of players reach 11, the slots are upgraded to 32.
When the amount of players reach 25, the slots are upgraded to 48.

I've tested with the low slots the last couple of days and normally it's working pretty good.
I've also tested the plugin this night, but please report if you see any problems. (I haven't seen any bugs)

There is also a new stats plugin for BF3, which I have been testing and debugging.
It's almost stable enough for use of our own server leaderboards. I hope to start with those pretty soon.

BTW: New client patch coming soooooooon:

Now we only need a decent serverpatch with:
1. PING info on players
2. Reserved slots
3. Join Queue (really need that one with this new slots plugin)
4. MUTE!

Let's hope DICE is on these points too...
